Fundraising - St Mary's Catholic Primary School

Fundraising

Through the year we take part in a variety of different fun and exciting fundraising activities.

Autumn Term

We took part in a brilliant Elf Run (Radio York) and we enjoyed wearing our Christmas Jumpers for Save the Children. We carefully select our charities, focusing on Catholic Care, Cafod and local Selby appeals.

Spring Term

Lent is a time when we look for ways to give alms as part of our Lenten observances.
Last year we raised £431 for the Ukrainian Appeal.

Year 2 to 6 walked to and from church with our local CAFOD representative Brona, where we
celebrated Mass. Through this walking and other individual efforts, we raised £120 for the CAFOD
Walk Against Hunger Appeal.

We created class playtime games as part of the Diocesan 2023/24 Good Shepherd Appeal to raise funds for
Catholic Care. We raised £143.

Summer Term

We wore yellow on Cystic Fibrosis Day to raise funds for their charity, raising £135.
